We're always looking for something to give to our sweet coaches after the season ends.  Here's what we did for Soccer (bucket of Skor Candybars) and Baseball (bucket of Starbursts.  It was super easy.

Teacher Appreciation Gift-- Lemonade Kit

I finally decided what to do for Teacher Appreciation Gifts this year.  It came together as a combo of ideas.  A Lemonade Kit!  Best part is I found everything at Walmart.  Easy shopping!  First I bought the  water bottles.  They were in a package of 2/$5 (at Walmart) They have some that are $5 a piece or you can choose 2/$5-- you pick.  The mixing spoons were 4/$1 and the Ribbon was about $2.50 a roll.  I bought 2 rolls that made 6 gifts.  Lemons were $2.50 a bag.  I put 2 small  lemons in each water bottle.  Then I put a Country time lemonade packet in each bottle.  They were in a box of 10 for $2.    I got the tags HERE but modified them to just be printed as a 4x6 print.  See Below.

If you want to add a gift card in the bottle you could.  I also added vinyl names of the teacher on the outside.  (optional of course. I sell them HERE).  You could also choose to give the water bottle/Lemonade kit in this cute Outdoor Picnic Blanket I found (Again at Walmart for $13 in the seasonal section).  Who wouldn't love one of these to keep in their car?  I think this is adorable.  See pics below.

I tucked the Lemonade Kit Water Bottle inside the front pocket of the picnic blanket.
Here's the Tag Courtesy of PNPFLOWERSINC.COM.  You can save it and print is as a 4x6 photo.
I can't wait for my kids to take these to their teachers.  Love how they turned out!  And no gift wrapping needed and kid proof (It should get to the teacher without any accidents)

Mother's Day Gift

I'm always trying to find a unique Mother's Day gift.  This was a fun one I did with the topic of Gardening. First, I got my Mom a Gardening Book (this one by Joy Bossi is my favorite), gloves, a gardening decoration, and perfume from Bath and Body Works called Forever Sunshine.  (That was my favorite part) You could add seed packets, etc.  I tied it all together in burlap. It was a hit.  This could also be a great Teacher Appreciation Gift.

Favorite Baby Gifts

So since having my first child, Baby gear has come a long ways!  There are so many new baby items that I have really enjoyed on my fourth.   I decided to make a list of my new must haves for babies.  (In no particular order) You will be thanking me next time you need a Baby Gift!!!

First is the Boon Squirt Baby Food Dispensing Spoon.  Just scoop the food into this spoon and you can easily feed your baby on the go or at home.  Bought mine at BabiesRus.

Get this item at Amazon.

Next is the Wubanub.  Pacimals are also similar.  Never  used it but I've heard they are great.
This is also at Amazon.
This is the Nuby Wide Neck Bottle With Handle.  Great for transitioning to sippy cups.  Why weren't bottle always made with handles?
Link to Amazon.  Also at Walmart.

I LOVE the Carters Binky Clips.  Use it every day when we leave the house.  Haven't lost it yet in 8 months!  The Elephant is Super cute.
Buy it at Carters.

I used a Swaddle Me Blanket every time my baby slept until 8 months.  Love it!  I bought the size Large and it worked the entire time.  Link to Amazon.

I haven't used this either but my Sister in law loves it.  800 plus reviews gave it almost 5 stars.

Get it here on Amazon.

Robeez shoes are the best for staying on tight.

Here on Amazon.  Target also has a knock off brand.

These are more expensive but this is about as cute as it gets for a little boy anyway.

Love these blankets for swaddling.  Especially for summer because they are lightweight.

I don't have this but wish I would've gotten one.  Really I wish I had invented this.  The description says it all
"Helps sleep-deprived new parents remember baby care details".  What a great idea!

I know a lot of us make our own car seat canopies by now.  This one by JJ Cole is just as cheap as buying your own fabric and I like that the elasticized outer band.  I would never be able to make that right.
Link to Amazon.

This one is more expensive but super cute and I love the windows.

This is still my favorite Baby Book.  The magic cycle is to get a baby to EAT, STAY AWAKE, & then SLEEP over and over.  Helps get a baby to sleep through the night as well as keep a routine.  Love it.

Love this Crib aquarium by Baby Einstein.  I have a similar one.
Link to Amazon.

My FAVORITE baby bouncer.  Vibrates and plays music.  Super portable.

I don't have this but has great reviews.

This is what we use for our Baby Camera.  It links to my smartphone so I can watch the baby from another room or outside.  Also I can turn it from my phone to get a new angle.  Can't tell you how much I LOVE this!  Amazon Link

Teacher Gifts!

If you're like me, you are frantically in need of a teacher gift this week.  I researched online for a few ideas and then put this together.  It is a S'more Kit for your favorite teacher with the title WE NEED S'MORE TEACHERS LIKE YOU!
I put in a clear cellophane bag:

4 Marshmallows
8 Graham Cracker Halves
4 Mini Hershey Bars
2 Skewer Sticks
Tea Light

Then I printed off the label and Directions as a 4X6 Photo and had it printed.  Then I folded it over the top and stapled and put it in a cute Target $1 Tin.  I also made other versions for coaches "We need S'more coaches like you, Fathers Day, "We need S'more Grandpas like you", "We need S'more Dads like you"....you get the idea...I made a few different labels so you can use these as any gift.

Ruffle Scarf

I'm in love with this Ruffly Scarf.  I made one for me and my daughter so far.  I would love to make more as gifts.  The best things about them are they are cheap, easy and no sewing involved.  This is from the DIY Dish.  Instructions are here.

Pretty cute huh?

Flat Iron Holder

I love the never ending crafts you can make with a pot holder. To turn a pot holder into a Flat Iron Holder, I first found this cute polka dot potholder at Dollar Tree.  Then I sewed up the side vertically and along the bottom.  And now maybe my new Chi will last as long as it should this time!

You could also fold it the other way and sew horizontally and along the bottom for a sunglass holder!  That's my next project.

Headband Holder

I've been looking for a way to make a Headband Holder.  I found a few ideas and then modified this for what I needed.  This is what I did....

It took 2 cans, some fabric, and a hot glue gun.
I used a hot chocolate can and a formula can.  You could also use an oatmeal container, but I found mine was really flimsy.  You could also just use one depending on how much storage space you need.

First I took off the can wrappers and then glued the two cans together, leaving the open end up. Next, I glued my fabric to the cans and folded the edges over to make a nice hem.  I also folded the edges on the top and bottom edges.  (Note:  If gluing on fabric isn't your thing, you could mod podge some scrapbook paper to it instead)

I cut a circle of fabric and glued it to the lid on top.

.

Then I filled the top can with hair barrettes and put the headbands on the outside!  It is so handy and doubles as a decoration.  What do you think?

Photo to Coloring Page

I can't get enough of the photo turned into a coloring page.  Thank you Crayola!  We used this for part of our teacher gift for my daughter's teacher.  Her teacher loved it and said she had never looked so good in a photo.  This makes a unique and personal card or gift.  You could even frame the picture.  For Father's Day, my kids are going to color a pic of my husband and kids together for a card.  You can get all the instructions here.
