I saw a tutorial on Paper Wreaths here. I thought, okay, but I'm really not into the book page look on my wall. Then I thought about spray paint, my new craze. But could you really spray paint paper?
I tried it out and now have 4 funky little wreath Rosettes. I'm obsessed with Rosettes for my hair, my shirt, my bag and anything else. Why not a Rosette for your wall? So that's what I'm calling these, my Paper Wreath Rosettes. And guess what? I spent $7 for supplies (not including spray paint).
So, first buy a foam wreath at Dollar Tree along with a book from Dollar Tree or your collection that you would love to rip apart. I couldn't bring myself to buy a bible, but a cheesy novel worked great. The more pages and the stiffer the page the better. I bought spray paint at Lowe's. The black and white are only $1. They have a large selection of cute colors for about $3 a can. (better selection than Walmart). I also bought a primer and primed them first, just to be safe. You will also need a hot glue gun and plenty of glue.
Let's get started....
Then spray paint. Like I said, I primed first. It took about 3 different layers to fully cover all the writing.
Cute eh? I love how they look metal or wooden.
I love these!!! I found you because Sweet Charli featured you and now I'm a follower. Thanks for sharing how you did the wreaths - I see one or more of these in my future! Love Laurie from Scene of the Grime
